Board game cafe (2 of 4)

_ Limmud Social Programming Team

Blue 32

Who doesn't love a board game? Monopoly, Rummikub, Scrabble, cards and many more besides. Come and enjoy Limmud's library of board games, or bring your own, to unwind, meet new people and maybe learn a new game.

Late night laughs at Limmud!

Joel Haber  Lynn Ruth Miller  Hayden Cohen  Elie Kraft  Rachel Creeger  Noam Shuster  Katie Price

Purple 31 (Bar)

Join award-winning stand up comic Rachel Creeger and friends for a bit of a gig. She's the only practising orthodox Jewish woman on the UK comedy circuit, performing in pubs and clubs around the country. Her parents couldn't be prouder. It probably won't lead to mixed dancing, just partnership laughing. Line up of other acts TBC.

No laughing matter - Holocaust and humour

Yoni Berrous

Yellow 21

It is naturally difficult to associate the subject of humour with the Holocaust. However, are these two subjects totally incongruous? What happened to famous Jewish humour during one of the worst periods in Jewish history?

Sing-a-long-a-Simon

Simon Style

Red 1

Yes folks, back again with a huge repertoire of mostly old and a few new songs in English, Hebrew, Yiddish and rubbish. Bring instruments if you want or just come along and sing your hearts out. Ruach guaranteed or your money back.

The Jewish stock exchange

Amos Schonfield  Daniel Fenster Simons

Orange 10

A game for those who think they know their famous Jews! Who will make the most profit when Zuckerberg successfully builds his empire? Who will lose most when we found out Madoff was a crook? Buy and sell shares in famous (and not so famous) Jewish personalities and try to make the most money. No prior knowledge needed, just a capitalist thirst.

Shira Britannia: Dean Staker showcase

Shira Britannia  Dean Staker

Yellow 24

Dean’s modern take on Jewish liturgy is featured in the extremely popular Shabbat Resouled services at Finchley Progressive Synagogue. Plus there may be a few tracks from his new album! Come and enjoy highlights from his repertoire, backed by Shira Britannia and the Limmud House Band. This is part of our series of contemporary British Jewish music.
