There were no women bards in Iran, certainly no cantors, so I feel great honour and joy as a woman to teach and pass these subtle and noble psalms, which are capable of influencing the listener. I will sing and teach psalms and prayers of Iranian Jews which I heard my father, a well-known cantor, sing in the synagogue.

After being on the frontline of the war in Darfur, I will discuss how Israel's normalization with Sudan reveals a split between military and civil power. I will show how Israel's negotiations with the Arabian government of Sudan helped support some of the worst violence Darfur has ever seen and how it could teeter into a second genocide.
