The play explores the changing relationship of a mother and daughter as they navigate vascular dementia and the end of the mother's life. We will view a recording of a live performance of the current iteration of 'Mum Thumb' and then, if desired, share a Q&A with the writer and some of the thoughts, experiences and ideas it has evoked.

An exploration of the underlying halachic sources and later responsa in relation to abortion. Participants will work through the underlying sources (source sheets are in both Hebrew and English) in chavruta (pairs) - followed by a talk on the way more modern day rabbinic decisors have related to these sources and the permissibility of abortion.
