The Talmud includes many midrashim about the human-divine encounter at Mt Sinai. Eight of these in sequence are attributed to the same sage. An in-depth look at these stories will provide a nuanced but empowering message for how we see ourselves in relationship with G-d and with Torah.

Torah does not come from isolated individuals but from relationships.The Talmud is full of arguing chavrutot, and these learning pairs became a recurring image in Jacqueline’s Draw Yomi project. We will look at depictions of friendships and explore what it means to be both a good and bad friend.
