The Jewish law has much to say about how we should ritualise mourning. And yet, Hilchot Aveilut (the Jewish laws of mourning) is an area rich with Rabbinic creativity and responsiveness. We will look at some dynamic approaches to halacha to try to understand some of the halachic tools which might be available in the development of Jewish law.
