It's little known that movement and the body were extensively used during Jewish prayer in temple times and that the poses used bear great similarity to the poses of ancient and modern yoga. We will study the original sources, including Torah, Mishnah and the Gemarah; and we will experiment in our own bodies and experience the poses themselves.

Start the day with mindfulness, meditation and chanting of key psukim/verses from the Shacharit/Morning liturgy. New and experienced meditators are warmly welcome.

Exercise and praying can go together! Bring your jogging shoes and clothes. We’ll stretch, and pick a pace that works for everyone, with frequent stops, to get in a good run integrated with song, prayer, and kavanot.
