I shall be introducing excerpts from the music of 20th century Jewish composers, together with snippets of biographical information. Most, if not all of these personalities had their family roots in Middle or Eastern Europe. A number of them were forced to quit their homeland through political upheavel.

Here, author and fellow poet Marvin J Shaw recites some of Cohen's best poems and suggests how they may transform us - whilst leaving a lasting impression on our spiritual and emotional lives.

In The Zone of Interest, film director Jonathan Glazer focuses on the perpetrator. This illustrated talk discusses and contextualises Glazer’s approach, surveying a few other broadcast, written or filmed examples that appear to assimilate, appropriate or marginalise the Jewish tragedy, almost as if eliminating the victims for a second time.
