We are all responsible for each other and for the community we create and we encourage participants to take an active part in Festival. Volunteering opportunities are only open to residential participants. Ad-hoc volunteering roles will also be available.

There are three different ways of volunteering at Festival:

1. Participate in the Yad (helping hand) volunteering scheme (open to all participants).
All adults booking a residential place can apply to volunteer through our Yad scheme and receive up to 50% off their ticket. You'll contribute to Festival by volunteering for up to 4 hours a day (see all the different roles here.)This year, there are two ways to take part:

2. Being a Young and Teen Limmud Leader (YTL)(open to UK based participants only)

3. Joining the Young Leaders Programme (open to UK based participants)

Selling and Sponsorship at Festival:
If you're interested in selling your books, art, merchandise, representing your organisation, or sponsoring some aspect of Limmud. Visit our Limmud Festival Marketplace for further details.

Opting out of our YTL Programme:
- Babies under 12 months can opt out of all creche programming and family services and come for free (contact the office for more information before you add them to your booking).
- Children 14+ can opt out of YTL if they would like to join the main programme instead.
If you wish to opt out, please fill in our Child Creche/YTL Waiver Form. All children need to have adult supervision throughout the event.

Please be advised that under 18s need to be on a booking with an adult, and cannot book a ticket themselves.

Access Needs: For any additional support needed for your time at Limmud Festival, please ensure you tick the box below “I have access, medical or other needs”. You will then be asked to complete an additional section on our application form. Our Festival team will be in contact in due course to discuss how we can meet any additional needs you may have.

Limmud Access Fund: We are committed to making Limmud Festival affordable and accessible to everyone, especially during the current cost of living crisis. If you are are a UK resident and the ticket price is the only thing stopping you from joining Limmud Festival, our fund is there to lower the financial barrier. We aim to provide financial support equal to a minimum of one-third* of the cost of a place at Festival to help make your participation possible.
Please click the box "Financial Assistance" near the bottom of our booking form, applicants will be asked additional questions on a separate form to help us review each person's request. No fees will be taken until your request as been reviewed. The initial deadline is 15 September and any requests after the deadline will be considered but are subject to any remaining funds available.
This fund is only available for UK residents. For international participants, please apply for our Yad volunteer scheme for discounted place.
*Please note, financial support given through the Access Fund is based on shared standard accommodation or families rates only. Participants choosing to stay in single occupancy accommodation or all premium accommodation would need to pay the difference.

Terms: Participation in Limmud Festival is subject to our Event Terms and Conditions. We strongly recommend all attendees to have their own travel insurance. We'd like to highlight our refund policy: for cancellations 30 days or more prior to the Event, we will provide a full refund less £50 per participant as an administration charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the Event (including any cancellation made for any reasons relating to Covid or other illnesses).

Shabbat at Limmud

Our aim is to facilitate new connections and friendships over Shabbat which will last throughout Festival and beyond. As such, at Shabbat dinner and lunch, there will be designated tables for those who want to meet new people, with 'table hosts' to help facilitate conversation and 'break the ice'.

If you think you would like to participate, please tick the box below, so we can ensure there is enough space set aside in the dining hall for this. However, you are welcome to join these tables even if you don't register in advance, as seating will not be allocated by person.

If you would like to volunteer as a table host, please tick the second box below - note, however, that we cannot guarantee that all those who sign up as table hosts will be chosen.

For those who don't want to participate, there will be plenty of tables available at Shabbat dinner without any seating arrangements.

- Families with 2+ young children (children who are too young to stay in their own room) will be allocated one room with adult(s) and children in the same room.
- Families with 2+ older children will be given two rooms - for this option the adult(s) should select their own Hilton accommodation from those available, as well as selecting the child-only room for the children.

Festival Pricing: Find our Festival Prices here. Please note that all our prices are per person. If you wish to add another participant to your booking, please click the blue "add another participant" button if you scroll down below.

All adult room bookings include an additional £28 room deposit. This is per adult, not per room. Room deposits will be refunded upon request after Limmud Festival, as long as the participant checks out on time and there are no charges against their room.

Non-residential: It is possible to book Limmud Festival for one day, two days, three, four or even five days without a hotel room - select 'Non Residential' in the drop-down selection. We can only arrange accommodation for participants staying for the standard date ranges. If you wish to attend for an alternative date range, make sure you select the 'non-residential' accommodation option.

Shabbat Accommodation

If you intend to join us for Shabbat, please specify whether or not you use electricity on Shabbat. We will prioritise rooms on lower floors for those who don't use electricity on Shabbat.
If you do not have a preferred roommate, Limmud will always try to put roommates together who have a similar Shabbat observance.

Find out more about Shabbat at Festival here.

Shared Accommodation

If you have booked a shared accommodation option, please provide the name, email address and application reference number of your preferred roommate. You and your preferred roommate do not need to book together, but you do need to both book the same dates and accommodation type.

Reference numbers can be found at the top of the confirmation email once a participant has booked for Limmud Festival.
Transport to/from Limmud Festival

There are many ways you can travel to Limmud Festival - click here for more info.

Coaches: Limmud organises coaches to make access easier and reduce our impact on the environment. Coach tickets are £35 per person per way.
Coach departure times might vary slightly and Limmud will confirm closer to the time the exact departure time and location. Limmud may need to merge or cancel certain coach routes if there isn't enough demand, and we will be in contact with you to arrange alternative transportation. We are aware this year that Limmud Festival starts on 26 December (Boxing Day) which is a bank holiday in the UK, and there is expected to be a heavily reduced service on public transport. We highly recommend that participants organise their arrival and return journey in advance of attending Limmud Festival. Please plan your journey with enough time, allowing for traffic and delays over the holiday period.
Infants under 2 who do not require a seat for themselves travel free - please contact the Limmud Office to add their travel to your booking.

If you would like to book a place on a coach, please tick below.

Our Participant Care team wants to support all participants, and ensure you have all the information you need. before joining us at Festival

Added Extras

We are minimising and managing our waste in many ways, including by moving to a digitised programme by default. We will have shared handbooks available in communal areas, and over Shabbat the Shabbat programme will be printed out too. Printed copies are still available, and you can purchase them here on this form, or at Limmud Festival too.

These will be available to collect upon arrival at Festival.
Purchase our new tote bags, great for carrying your notebook, snacks, drink bottles and brilliant ideas.
Shabbat blessings, songs and grace after meals/Birkat Hamazon, beautifully presented and easy-to-use in Hebrew, English and transliteration.
This is a separate book to the Limmud Festival Shabbat Programme, which you will receive as part of your booking for Shabbat.

A range of Limmud merchandise, from reusable cups and water bottles to clothing and neck pillows, will be available to purchase at Limmud Festival.

We will be having both a Shuk and a Bookshop at Limmud Festival. These will be an opportunity to purchase books and other products from participants, presenters and community members. To sell books or other products at Limmud Festival, please visit our Limmud Festival Marketplace website page for information on booking your stall. Once your stall is approved, please also reserve and pay for your stall below by purchasing a stall and (if needed) your meal ticket/s.

This is one meal ticket (per seller) for any seller who is not purchasing a Limmud Festival Ticket, and is only coming for Monday 29 December for the Shuk
You can only purchase Limmud Bookshop ticket if approved in advance by Limmud Commerce Team. If you have any questions please email office@limmud.org
