Hotel Lobby
We will take a walk around the grounds of the hotel and NEC, see what birds we can identify and learn how identification works: what clues do we get from colour, shape, habitat, behaviour and sound? No previous experience needed, and all equipment will be provided.

Natan Alterman was a very well-known Israeli poet. His works for the Habima Theatre is less studied. In this session, we will give a broad perspective on Alterman’s poem 'Shir eres' (Lullaby), written with Shasha Argov (music) for the play 'Queen Esther' and possible translations into English. No knowledge of Hebrew is needed.
Red 8
He's written America's funniest show-tune parodies. From 'The Producers' to 'Blazing Saddles' to 'Young Frankenstein', Mel Brooks made Jewish comedy Broadway and Hollywood gold. We’ll trace his outrageous songs, films and shows - asking how a poor kid from Brooklyn turned irreverence into genius, laughter into legacy, and chutzpah into cultural history.
