Humanistic/Nontheistic Kabbalat Shabbat

Yellow 21

At our humanistic/nontheistic Kabbalat Shabbat service we welcome Shabbat with human-centred language, celebrating the week behind us, and stepping into sacred time without reference to the supernatural. If you are secular, humanistic, spiritual but not religious, agnostic, “spinozist” or just curious and never knew we existed, you are welcome. There will be a short discussion led by Rabbi Tzemah Yoreh after the service as well as an alternative kiddush. You can learn more about Humanistic Judaism in the UK at www.hjuk.org

Kabbalat Shabbat - Egalitarian Service

Orange 12

The Egalitarian Minyan is a traditional-egalitarian minyan in which all Jews are full and equal participants and leaders. We will use a traditional liturgy and hope to have spirited and lively davening!

Kabbalat Shabbat - Families' Service

Blue 32

Join us for a warm and welcoming Family Kabbalat Shabbat and a meaningful Shabbat morning service! Celebrate the spirit of Shabbat with songs, prayers, and joyful family moments. Both gatherings offer a special opportunity for families to connect, embrace community, and enjoy an inclusive environment together.

Kabbalat Shabbat - Orthodox Service

Orange 14

Orthodox Judaism is defined by its traditional observance, prayers and forms of worship. We will create a warm and welcoming traditional orthodox service, filled with many of your favourite tunes. Men and women sit separately with a mechitzah (partition) between them, and men lead the service in Hebrew.

Kabbalat Shabbat - Progressive Service

Red 7

Progressive Judaism seeks to make prayer spiritually meaningful by combining the best of tradition with the best of the modern world. This year, our services will feature many Limmud musicians and clergy, as we incorporate music (and instruments), and poetry into our traditional liturgy, to help us connect with God and each other. All our services are completely egalitarian, and we positively embrace human diversity.

Kabbalat Shabbat - Women's Kabbalat Shabbat Service

Red 4

Women's Kabbalat Shabbat is a songful transition from the busy week to the warmth of Shabbat. Bring your voices and join your sisters. No background required, tunes new and traditional welcome. If you have a siddur, bring that too. We are looking forward to meeting you!
