Check your own mezuzah

Avielah Barclay

Blue 34

This workshop encourages us to practise the mitzvah of placing mezuzot on our doorposts and checking them twice every seven years by learning how to tell if they are kosher. This empowers us to know before we buy a scroll what to look for and informs us on the proper “care and feeding” of a mezuzah. Bring your own or borrow.

Don’t mention the war? Outlining the future of Muslim-Jewish interfaith

Aaron Seitler

Yellow 24

With headlines dominated by despair, it seems that Jews and Arabs are locked in perpetual conflict. Drawing on Jonathan Sacks’ vision of the politics of hope, I offer a different picture unfolding on the ground in Jerusalem. Not naïveté, not cynicism, but a hope emerging among two peoples wearied by strife, who are instead deciding to choose life.

Modeh Ani: Jewish practice as daily wellness and ritual

Aydin Mayers

Orange 10

We will explore how Jewish traditions offer built-in pathways to health and joy. Through daily gratitude, ritual and reflection, discover the inherent gifts of Jewish practice for grounding, resilience and a happier life.

V’yarotz v’yomar (he ran and he talked), or ‘run and chat’ (1 of 3)

Abigail Morris

Hotel Lobby

For those who want to stretch their legs as well as their minds, come and run with us. It’s not the most beautiful of countrysides but it’s lovely to be outside and there are some nice-ish bits. We can discuss Jewish topics, sessions we’ve been to, running schedules or anything you fancy. Please be prepared to run for about an hour and maybe get muddy.

Writing the inner voice

Orli Krief

Red 5

A women’s workshop in meditation, musar (Jewish ethics) and inspired writing. Through grounding meditation and inspired writing, we will journey inward - writing without judgment or filter. Guided by Jewish wisdom, the workshop invites dialogue and connection with our inner selves, opening space for reflection, grounding and presence.
