We've all seen it happen. A prominent member of the our community is accused of sexual violence and community leadership rushes to their defence. This often takes the form of character reference letters for the abuser before sentencing. We will discuss the harm these letters and how they de-centre the victim in the narrative about their abuse.

Playback theatre is a community-oriented genre which invited audience members to share personal stories and have them 'played back' by the ensemble: reflected, processed, deconstructed, dreamed. In this workshop, we will practise playback-in-writing: how to write poems for other people in ways that capture and address their deepest needs.

Would he have supported anti-Israel groups such as Neturei Karta today? This session will explore the basis, history and evolution of religious anti-Zionism and support of Jewish statehood in Jewish texts.
