Although God rewarded Pinchas for zealotry, the rabbis said 'This is a law we do not teach'. This session considers what zealotry is and its past and present forms. It reviews the eliminationist theology of Rav Tau in Israel now, and draws on Rabbis Sacks, Avraham Kook, Hirsch, Moshe Lichtenstein, Rambam and the Sfat Emes to build a traditional alternative.

Keith and his wife Aviva were abducted from their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza by Hamas on October 7th 2023. Aviva was released after 51 days and Keith spent 484 days in captivity in Gaza.
