We will explore these issues through personal reflection and gentle prompts. No prior knowledge is required just a willingness to reflect.

Hear some stories with a Jewish link including, but not limited to, a criminal justice Purim miracle, advising the Jewish lawyer accused of agitating by wearing a Star of David, advising the man accused of threatening behaviour by displaying a satirical banner with a pager on it and dealing with the police.

Living waters, moving currents: creating new meaning in mikveh practice

In this session, we will explore how the Open Mikveh Movement has reclaimed and reinvented one of Judaism's most ancient practices, expanding beyond niddah (menstrual 'purity') to embrace this ritual rooted in spiritual transition. Then, we will craft our own rituals for the mikveh (Jewish ritual bath), merging tradition with new possibilities for spiritual expression.
