Registration for Limmud Festival 2026 is now open! We can't wait to see you there!

Dates for Limmud Festival: Friday 25 December – Wednesday 30 December. Our programme will run from Friday until Wednesday lunchtime.

Available to Book: Residential accommodation at the Hilton Metropole and the Crowne Plaza for a minimum of Short stay places (Sunday to Wednesday). Non-residential places can also be booked for one day, two days, three days, four days or even five days.

Presenting at Limmud Festival: Would you like to present at Limmud Festival? To offer to present, please tick "Offer a Session" on the application form below. Deadline to apply to present is Monday 29 September. Once you have completed your application form, you will receive a separate email with details to submit your biography and session(s). Limmud Festival is powered by volunteers and it's a brilliant way to participate in the event and meet new people. There are two main ways to volunteer at Limmud Festival:

  1. Through the Yad volunteer scheme, volunteering 4 hours per day. Our Yads (helping hands) are the backbone of Festival and deliver a wide range of key services. Check out the different Yad roles available here. A sliding scale of discounts are available to Yads, from 0 to 50%. Please select the discount level that is right for you- choosing a lower discount is a fantastic way to support Limmud and be part of our volunteering culture at the same time.
  2. By joining our ad hoc volunteer WhatsApp group to respond in real time to on-site needs during the event. To support a Festival-wide culture of volunteering and enable the smooth production and delivery of the event by supporting with odd jobs here and there, we are bringing together a group of participants who would like to help out in a more flexible way, as and when they can. No discount is available for our ad hoc volunteers.

If you wish to opt out, please fill in our Child Crèche/YTL Waiver Form. All children need to have adult supervision throughout the event.

Please be advised that under-18s need to be on a booking with an adult, and cannot book a ticket themselves.

Access Needs: For any additional support needed during your time at Limmud Festival, please ensure you tick the box below “I have access, medical or other needs”. You will then be asked to complete an additional section on our application form. Our Festival team will be in contact in due course to discuss how we can meet any additional needs you may have.

Limmud Access Fund:
We are committed to making Limmud Festival affordable and accessible to everyone, especially during the current cost of living crisis. If the cost of a ticket is the only thing preventing you from joining us, the Limmud Access Fund is here to help remove that financial barrier. The fund is open to all UK participants, whether you're attending Limmud for the first time, have been coming for years, are joining with your family, are able to volunteer, or your financial circumstances have changed and you need support this year.

We aim to provide at least one-third financial support* to help make your participation possible. Requests can be made confidentially through the booking form and will be handled with care and discretion. You won't need to make any payment when you register. Your place will be held, and a member of the Limmud staff team will be in touch to discuss your request.

Applications should be submitted by Tuesday 22 September. Requests received after this date will still be considered, but support will depend on the funds remaining available. For all queries please email Email the office
*Please note, financial support given through the Access Fund is based on shared standard accommodation or families rates only. Participants choosing to stay in single-occupancy accommodation or all premium accommodation will need to pay the difference.

Terms: Participation in Limmud Festival is subject to our Event Terms and Conditions. We strongly recommend all attendees to have their own travel insurance. We'd like to highlight our refund policy: for cancellations 30 days or more prior to the Event, we will provide a full refund less £50 per participant as an administration charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the Event (including any cancellation made for any reasons relating to Covid or other illnesses).

Family Accommodation: For families coming to Festival there are three options in the accommodation list.
Please note that children and teen places are heavily subsidised and where possible children will be accommodated with parents/guardians

  • Families with one child will be allocated one room with the adult(s) and child in the same room.
  • Families with 2-3 young children (children who are too young to stay in their own room) will be allocated one room with adult(s) and children in the same room, or an interconnecting room subject to limited availability.
  • Families with 2+ older children will be given two rooms- for this option the adult(s) should select their own Hilton accommodation from those available as well as selecting the children-only room for the children. If you would like your teen to share a room with a friend, please have both families email office@limmud.org to request this.

All adult room bookings include an additional £28 room deposit. This is per adult not per room. Room deposits will be refunded upon request after Limmud Festival, as long as the participant checks out on time and there are no charges against the room.

Non-residential: It is possible to book Limmud Festival for one day, two days, three, four or even five days without a hotel room - select 'Non-Residential' in the drop-down selection. We can only arrange accommodation for participants staying for the standard date ranges. If you wish to attend for an alternative date range, make sure you select the 'non-residential' accommodation option.

Shabbat Accommodation

If you intend to join us for Shabbat, please specify whether or not you use electricity on Shabbat. We will prioritise rooms on lower floors for those who don't use electricity on Shabbat.
If you do not have a preferred roommate, Limmud will always try to put roommates together who have a similar Shabbat observance.

Please be aware that Limmud Festival starts on Friday 25 December (Christmas Day), which is a UK bank holiday with very limited public transport."

Our aim is to facilitate new connections and friendships over Shabbat which will last throughout Festival and beyond. As such, at Shabbat dinner and lunch, there will be designated tables for those who want to meet new people, with 'table hosts' to help facilitate conversation and 'break the ice'.

If you think you would like to participate, please tick the box below, so we can ensure there is enough space set aside in the dining hall for this. However, you are welcome to join these tables even if you don't register in advance, as seating will not be allocated by person.

Your Limmud Festival booking

This year Limmud Festival will be taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. We offer accommodation options for both the Hilton and Crowne Plaza Hotels. For more information on our 2026 accommodation options click here.

Family Accommodation: For families coming to Festival there are three options in the accommodation list.
Please note that children and teen places are heavily subsidised and where possible children will be accommodated with parents/guardians

  • Families with one child will be allocated one room with the adult(s) and child in the same room.
  • Families with 2-3 young children (children who are too young to stay in their own room) will be allocated one room with adult(s) and children in the same room, or an interconnecting room subject to limited availability.
  • Families with 2+ older children will be given two rooms- for this option the adult(s) should select their own Hilton accommodation from those available as well as selecting the children-only room for the children. If you would like your teen to share a room with a friend, please have both families email office@limmud.org to request this.

Non-residential: It is possible to book Limmud Festival for one day, two days, three, four or even five days without a hotel room - select 'Non-Residential' in the drop-down selection. We can only arrange accommodation for participants staying for the standard date ranges. If you wish to attend for an alternative date range, make sure you select the 'non-residential' accommodation option.

Shabbat Accommodation

If you intend to join us for Shabbat, please specify whether or not you use electricity on Shabbat. We will prioritise rooms on lower floors for those who don't use electricity on Shabbat.
If you do not have a preferred roommate, Limmud will always try to put roommates together who have a similar Shabbat observance.

Volunteering at Limmud Festival

Limmud Festival is powered by volunteers and it's a brilliant way to participate in the event and meet new people. There are two main ways to volunteer at Limmud Festival:

  1. Through the Yad volunteer scheme, volunteering 4 hours per day. Our Yads (helping hands) are the backbone of Festival and deliver a wide range of key services. Check out the different Yad roles available here. a sliding scale of discounts are available to Yads, from 0 to 50%. Please select the discount level that is right for you- choosing a lower discount is a fantastic way to support Limmud and be part of our volunteering culture at the same time.
  2. By Joining our ad hoc volunteer WhatsApp group to respond in real time to on-site needs during the event. to support a Festival-wide culture of volunteering and enable the smooth production and delivery of the event by supporting with odd jobs here and there, we are bringing together a group of participants who would like to help out in a more flexible way, as and when they can. No discount is available for our ad hoc volunteers but we appreciate you just as much!

Added Extras

Limmud’s security costs have more than trebled in the last four years and we are grateful for the ongoing support and guidance we receive from Community Security Trust (CST). We’re expecting security costs of almost £100,000 this year and the majority of that cannot be covered by CST. This is money that could otherwise be spent on our charitable activities in Jewish learning, leadership development and community dialogue.  If you are able to, please consider adding a £50 contribution towards our security costs for Festival, which is also eligible for Gift Aid (for UK taxpayers). If you would like to give a different amount, you can add a donation to your booking at checkout. Thank you very much - your support helps us to keep our community safe and continue to invest in the Limmud programmes that matter most.
We are minimising and managing our waste in many ways, including by moving to a digitised programme by default. We will have shared handbooks available in communal areas, and over Shabbat the Shabbat programme will be printed out. Limited number of printed copies of the handbook will be available at Limmud Festival too.
Shabbat blessings, songs and grace after meals/Birkat Hamazon, beautifully presented and easy-to-use in Hebrew, English and transliteration.
This is a separate book to the Limmud Festival Shabbat Programme, which you will receive as part of your booking for Shabbat.

A range of Limmud merchandise, from reusable cups and water bottles to clothing and neck pillows, will be available to purchase at Limmud Festival.
