Arun Viswanath

Arun Schaechter Viswanath grew up in Teaneck, NJ in a Yiddish- and Tamil-speaking home. Harry Potter is his first foray into literary Yiddish translation, previously having translated letters and historical documents. Arun enjoys bouldering, learning new languages, and making music. He resides with his wife Tali in NYC, where he works in analytics.
