A Jewish-run newspaper which took on apartheid

One of the most outspoken newspapers during the last grim years of apartheid, the Weekly Mail, faced banning, censorship, arrests, petrol bombs and attempted murder of journalists. Less noticed, was that most of the paper's editors, directors, managers and shareholders were Jewish, among them the philanthropist Joel Joffe.
