Seven berachot (blessings) form the center of the chuppah (wedding ceremony). They are sung, mostly by the chazan or the rabbi, in part with those attending. None of the berechot speak directly about the couple getting wed. However, the text, full of meaning, presents them in the light of the story of mankind, symbol of our deepest hopes. Let’s read.
