Antisemitism in America: what the far-left and far-right have (and don’t have) in common

This session will focus on antisemitism in America, particularly as it gains ground on both the far-left and far-right. It will examine how each political party has addressed antisemitism and how the Trump presidency has impacted antisemitic movements. It will also discuss the rise of leftist anti-Zionism and its implications.

Becoming Eve: my life from a Chasidic rabbi to transgender woman

When Abby came out as transgender, she was the first person who was raised Chasidic to come out. She is today the only (legally) Chasidic ordained woman. Her book "Becoming Eve", is the first of its kind. We will explore the Chasidic community, the Jewish transgender community, and the TRANSitions revolving them, through talk, text, and videos.

Being an autistic adult in a neurotypical world

The Chuetas of Majorca – hidden crypto-Jewish descendants

The Chuetas are descendants of Jews forcibly baptized in 1435. They were not expelled in 1492, because they were not seen as Jews. They maintained their customs privately and practiced endogamy. Today some have returned to Judaism. Genetic studies have shown that they preserve a special genetic identity that is closely related to the original Jews of Iraq.
