This session will not focus on the Jewish nation as a world entity, but rather on the Jewish mission in the world, using one example to illustrate how this might be done and inviting participants to add their own experiences.

After 1500 years, Talmud is poetized and sung! Talmudic Ballads musical interpretive project reveals the beauty and the magic of Talmudic stories and their heroes. This session will explore how Talmudic text turns into a ballad, and we will listen to its performance. After all, there is much more romance in the Talmud than one might think.

The Jewish-Israeli conflict

This talk from Aliza Lavie, a former MK and lecturer, will be divided into two. First, she will discuss her work as a female advocate and human-women's rights changemaker. She will focus on her law of women agunot ('chained women'). In Second, Lavie will discuss her recent book on bat mitzvah, which is a combination of history and modern society.

Virtual tour: The story of unrecognised Bedouin villages

Join us on the ground to watch a short documentary about Israel’s unrecognised Bedouin villages. Residents of unrecognised villages are citizens of the State of Israel and yet are denied basic infrastructure. Following the short documentary, the New Israel Fund (NIF) UK's Atira Winchester will lead a discussion on how NIF is working to change this reality.
