Board games

Limmud Social Programming

Main Bar

Play for fun, play for glory - find your favourite board games every day and challenge your friends (and enemies). Just no turning the table over when it doesn't go your way.

Yellow 21

Come and join the Moishe House Kilburn residents for a fun (kef!) and sociable hour of chatting and lots of Dobble playing. You might think you're a Dobble pro, but have you tried Dobble 360? No prior knowledge of the game needed and it's fine to drop in. All ages welcome.

Dalia Fleming  Sarah Bronzite

Red 4

This session is for LGBT+ people (including: lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, asexual, intersex and more) to join us in discussing your hopes and concerns for our community. Whether you’re from the UK or elsewhere, KeshetUK wants to hear your voice about what you need to ensure you and your family are included in Jewish spaces.

Let's pickle!

Limmud knitting circle

Sydney Switzer

Yellow 22

Bring your textile projects for a chance to unwind, share what you’re working on and get help from others. This is a space to relax, share and meet other people who like to do things with their hands. Everyone welcome, even if you’re just curious to see what’s going on.

Meditation – coming back home to the body and the breath, giving the mind a rest

Barbara Cohen

Blue 33

We will enjoy some silent, sitting meditation together. Stopping and creating some space for ourselves, in a busy day. We will use simple techniques, like watching the breath, to bring us into the present moment. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to come back home to the body and the breath, and to allow the mind to quieten down.

Memory lane singalong

David Becker

Red 5

A singalong to recordings of songs from, Fiddler on the Roof, The Beatles, Abba, and many more. Printed word sheets will be provided. You don't even have to sing, just enjoy the music.

Musical slam – made by you! (4 of 4)

Rachel Creeger

Orange 14

Are you a singer/songwriter of ANY level of experience? We want to home grow our talent, so this is a new initiative for Limmudniks who’d like to perform their poetry, monologue, comedy or music but aren’t ready to present a full session. Sign up for a slot. An optional prep session will be available. Not a musical performer? Join the audience and support our stars!

Babka making

Come and try your hand at making and baking this most excellent of snacks, the mighty babka - a delicious chocolatey loaf which is perfect with a cup of tea. 30 spaces only - first come first served.

Wide game

Limmud Social Programming

Hotel Lobby

Come and experience a summer-camp classic: the wide game. Played in small teams and incorporating a range of challenges, from the profound to the mundane to the fundamentally absurd, this mega-event will have you feeling nostalgic for balmy summers with bad food - even on a gloomy day in Birmingham. Wear outdoor clothes.

Preparing to present at Limmud Festival 2023 - because everyone can be a teacher

Limmud Executive  Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz

If you have something to say to your fellow Limmudniks but want to improve your presentation skills first, this is the session for you. Come along and find out about Limmud Lelamed, our new presentation skills programme for prospective presenters and help shape the Lelamed programme's content.
