In 2015 UK law changed to allow prosecutions for coercive and controlling behaviour. Recent additions to the Domestic Abuse Law have also clarified the law and several cases have been brought relating to get (divorce bill) refusal. Is this a new panacea for agunot (women who are denied a get)?

Robert L Stone’s recently published novel, 'The Golden Bell', tells the story of Yehuda Halevi, a medieval John Donne who wrote sensuous love poetry as well as religious poetry and philosophy, drawing extensively on Sufi concepts. This session will explore the extraordinary life and love of the genius whom Nahmanides called 'the father of Kabbalah'.
