Janine was born in Poland in 1932. From a happy home, her life changed forever in 1939. Over the following years Janine lost her home, was hidden, moved about from attic to stable to convent, concealed her identity, and lost most of her family. She has been sharing her experiences for many years with the Holocaust Educational Trust.

Founder and director of the Masorti Bet Din, Chaim Weiner was ordained at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem, and a graduate of Jerusalem Fellows. He is known for his inspiring trips to destinations across Europe, his work developing European Jewish communities, and his work teaching classic Jewish sources to broad audiences.

She has worked for a number of museums and galleries including the Ben Uri, the Jewish Museum, the British Museum, the Courtauld, and the V&A. She writes regularly for the JC and other publications about Jewish artists and designers.

Rabbi Akiva Weingarten serves as the rabbi of Dresden, Germany and the Liberal Jewish community "Migwan" in Basel, Switzerland. He is the founder of the Haichal Besht synagogue in Berlin and the Besht Yeshiva in Dresden. Weingarten grew up in the Hasidic Satmar community in New York. He describes his approach to Judaism as liberal Hasidic.
