Birkot ha'shachar: cultivating gratitude with our morning blessings

We will explore the blessings that our tradition invites us to say each morning as we wake up. We will also use this time to cultivate gratitude for all the blessings in our life. As we learn in Pirkei Avot (4:1): "Who is rich? The person who appreciates what they have".

Visit a mosque, temple and church, with local MP Khalid Mahmood. Learn about the journeys of the Indian, Afro-Caribbean, Pakistani and Jewish communities to Birmingham, and challenges they've overcome. Meet at the entrance to the Hilton hotel at 8:50am for a minibus departure at 9:00am prompt. Returning to Limmud by 12:15pm. Max 15 participants.

For those who want to stretch their legs as well as their minds, come and run around the beautiful campus with Abigail. We can discuss Jewish topics, our running schedules or just being outside. Please be prepared to run for an hour and maybe get muddy.
