Who was the historical Jesus? What do we know factually about his life and teachings? What was he like as a person, and what did he think of Judaism? Did he found a new religion? How should Jews think of him today?

During lockdown, more than 4,000 people visited the IDI website to “dance at home”. Following the video to experience on-line tuition and then join in was a big plus for their physical and mental health. We will sample some of this material live on zoom and expand the community of dance!

Making football a force for good

Ze'ev Portner is a member of the Kick It Out Working Group on Anti-Semitism and helped to establish the first Jewish Supporters Group at Watford Football Club. Ze'ev will discuss what Jewish football fans can do to ensure that the clubs they support are sensitive to issues of concern to its Jewish supporters.

The pain of others: compassion and understanding in the thought of the Sefat Emet

One of the central Jewish aspirations is to become compassionate as God is compassionate. But what does it mean to be merciful, let alone as merciful as God is? In this class we'll explore the ideas of sensitivity to and understanding of the pain of others, despite our own limitations through the thought of the Hassidic master, the Sefat Emet.

What is psychosexual therapy?

Why would a couple see a psychosexual therapist? What would the criteria be to enter into a psychosexual programme? What would the therapist be looking for? What does a psychosexual therapy programme entail? The session will answer these questions and encourage couples to open up sexual communication in order to explore these issues. Please note that this is an 18+ only session.
