Nic Abery

Nic is a strategic educational innovator and has worked across the UK, Israel, Helsinki, Berlin, Dublin, Israel and most recently Istanbul. She is highly creative, fusing art, museums, objects and historical artifacts to analyse and delve into Jewish themes and texts.

Frank Adam

Frank Adam spent his last primary term in Paris. German and Latin were not so easy. A history degree, shnat sherut, Israeli family & Limmud helped him to make peace with his Jewish identity. 30 years teaching English, study leave for a DASE and a term of beginnners' German saw changes in languages teaching but the vocab still needs any help around!

Tal Adar Atias

Tal is a chief executive and holds a Bachelors degree in social work, specialising in trauma stress and emergency assistance, and holds a Master of Business Administration. She served for 10 years as an IDF commander in a variety of roles and as a Ministry of Defense envoy in India. Tal trains approximately 500 volunteers annually in different fields. She is married to Maya and mother to Rani.

Anoushka Alexander-Rose

Anoushka is a PhD student in English at the Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations. Her research explores the Jewish theme in the works of Vladimir Nabokov. She also spends time teaching literature and history, advocating for refugee digital inclusion, developing Holocaust education and marketing for Limmud!

Matthew Anisfeld

Matthew is an educator based in Jerusalem. He teaches Talmud and Halachah (Jewish law) at the Fuchsberg Center and the Pardes Institute. He recently graduated from the Yeshivat Hadar kollel. Matthew is particularly interested in halachic pathways for navigating relationships between people with different beliefs and practices.

Jane Ansell

Jane is the founder of Sleep Scotland (charity developing sleep counselling services and education for schools), TEENS+ (post-school education for people with complex support needs), co-founder of Edinburgh Jewish Dialogue and Cultural Centre and is a sleep consultant as well as developing and leading Jewish learning sessions for teenagers and adults.

Tal Arrowsmith

From a peaceful village near Birmingham to a peace village in Israel, Tal is a charity executive and peace activist. At just 28, Tal is the executive director of Oasis of Peace UK, which supports a unique village of Jewish and Palestinian-Arab Israeli citizens. She has been nominated for her work in establishing interfaith initiatives.

Azara

Azara is a new yeshiva for everyone, creating cross-communal Jewish learning in the UK. We aim to be a space where Jews of all denominations, backgrounds and genders can gather to learn and to make religious meaning. We hold short courses and events, and last July ran our first, month-long beit midrash (study house) in Edinburgh.
