Robyn is the principal rabbi at Manchester Reform Synagogue. Rabbi Robyn studied Theology at Newnham College, Cambridge and then worked as a human rights lawyer. Robyn is a passionate social justice activist, particularly through her work with Greater Manchester Citizens (a broad-based community organising movement) and Tzelem. Rabbi Robyn has published journal articles and other works, including a chapter in the recently published book – ‘Mapping Faith: Theologies of Migration and Community’. She also regularly appears on local and national media, is a chaplain at Manchester University and was named in the Jewish News’ 40 under 40 in 2020. Robyn is interested in creating relational, textured, activist communities built by individuals who are enabled to step into their own power and collectively organise for a more just world.
