Harry Lampert

Harry has been coming to Limmud for so long that he has forgotten when he started. He has just begun his MSc and on the side, works at a cocktail bar and runs a successful cookery blog. At the same time, he plays a couple of instruments and has performed in several pit bands for shows.

Ehud Landau

Ehud Landau is professor in the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich and member of the board of the Jewish Liberal Community (JLG) Or Chadasch in Zurich, Switzerland. His research interests are membrane biophysics, synthesis of biologically inspired nanomaterials, and history of science.

Juliet Landau-Pope

Juliet Landau-Pope is a certified coach, professional organiser and educational consultant, helping teenagers and adults to develop time management and organising skills. She has recently written two books: Being More Productive (2017) and Clearing Your Clutter (2018).

Yoav Landau-Pope

Yoav is a clinical psychologist, trained in Israel, and now lives and works in London. He practices as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and consultant to various Jewish organisations. Yoav's interests include community mental health, immigration, multiculturalism, political trauma and human rights.

Jo Landy

Jo learnt she was dyslexic after having struggled through school, toiled through University, and obtained a PhD in Law. Since finding more about this fascinating condition she has come to regard this ‘disability’ as an asset. Jo is a businesswomen and co-chaired Cambridge Limmud in 2016.

Jon Lansman

Jon is founder of Momentum, and a major Jewish supporter of Jeremy Corbyn.

Stephen Laughton

Stephen's new play, One Jewish Boy, opens in December 2018. He has worked with the Royal Court, Headlong, Hampstead Theatre, Theatre503 and the Young Vic. TV work includes original series The Hobby, Black Hill, Forward, and Tumble and he has written episodes of Cloud 9, Glue and Doctors.

_ Laviot Programming

Laviot is a community of queer Jewish women which fills a gap in the social landscape. Though we recognise our three pillars as LGBT+, woman-identifying and Jewish, we’ll let you define them for yourself. However you define it, we support it.

Jeremy Lawrence

Jeremy is senior rabbi at Kinloss since Aug 2014 and Hon Principal of Sacks Morasha JPS. Formerly in Auckland and Sydney, he has held leadership roles in the Australian and NZ Jewish Community, particularly interfaith. He has an MA in Law, and his wide ranging interests include medical and business ethics to computer animation.

Clive Lawton

Co-founder of Limmud, Clive is now its Senior Consultant. He is also CEO of the Commonwealth Jewish Council, scholar-in-residence at JW3, a magistrate and works worldwide in educational development.

Rachel Lazar

Rachel Lazar is from Transylvania and made aliyah 12 years ago. She earned her degrees from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and speaks four languages. Rachel is currently a programme manager for TheHive and TheNest accelerators in Tel Aviv helping new immigrant entrepreneurs to settle in Israel.

Samuel Lebens

Samuel is an academic philosopher and Orthodox rabbi. Originally from England, Sam lives in Israel, with his wife and children, teaching at the University of Haifa. His first book defends a theory of meaning proposed by Bertrand Russell. His forthcoming book explores the foundational principles of Judaism.

Adam Lehman

Adam is the chief operating officer at Hillel International. He previously held senior positions at Lotame Solutions, Rock Ridge Ventures and AOL. Educated at Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School, a Truman Scholar and founding member of Jewkvox (a cappella). Adam is married to Belinda and has two amazing daughters.

Berlin Leiman

Born in Russia where he attended theatre school, he then immigrated to the US where he became part of wonderful Jewish community in Cleveland OH. Berlin moved to the UK 10 years ago and studied systemic family therapy.

The Leo Baeck Education Center Haifa

Noga, Noi, Gal, Ika and Ely are five high-school students from the Leo Baeck Education Centre in Haifa, Israel, joining Limmud this year. They are wonderful young Israelis from diverse backgrounds who attend one school, bringing a variety of Israeli experiences and eager to share and learn.

Joey Leskin

A Yemeni Jew from London, Joey is director of International Experiences for KAHAL, connecting young people abroad to Jewish life in over 100 cities worldwide. He previously worked with the Turkish community as Senior Fieldworker for the JDC. He has a Masters in IR and has visited over 50 countries.

Shonna Levin

The child of a rabbi and morah, Orthodox LGBTQ activist Shonna Levin grew up Haredi in Monsey. Shonna has taught in the US, Sweden and Austria, is the founder of Trans Kollel and a Talmud Boot Camp for Haredi women and most of all: has a deep love for Hashem and all of His creations.

David Levin-Kruss

"Judaism is technology that makes the world better," says David Levin-Kruss, Jewish Education Director for JDC-Europe, which supports European Jews in finding their Jewish voice. David loves text-life interplay. Prior to JDC, David taught at Pardes and was community director of Stanmore Synagogue.

Andrew Levine

Andrew is an entrepreneur and accomplished public speaker on topics ranging from Business Strategy to Jewish Ethics and their applicability to today’s challenges.

Annie Levy

Annie is a movement worker for RSY-Netzer. She read International History and Politics at the University of Leeds, specialising in the relations between British Nongovernmental Organisations and women in Afghanistan. She loves Jewish pluralism, international development and psychometric testing.

Clare Levy

Clare is in her final year of a Religious Studies degree at the University of Edinburgh. She is engaged with Interfaith both on and off campus as the Faith Rep for the Student Union and the Treasurer for the Edinburgh Interfaith Association. Clare is also a student leader for CCJ.

Charlie Lewin

Charlie is an ex Haredi artist and musician. Through her artwork and lyrics, she tells her story of escaping an arranged marriage and the challenges of navigating the 'evil' outside world. Charlie is currently studying Fine Art at university in London.

Ben Lewis

Ben is a PhD student at Imperial College London's Institute of Chemical Biology. Within the Jewish community, he works as a Communications Consultant for Reform Judaism and volunteers with Limmud, Rene Cassin and the Jewish Labour Movement.

Jacqueline Lewis

Jackie Lewis Rose is a Whitefield-based GP, researcher & public speaker with a special interest in nutrition. Dr Lewis has researched the impact of diet on disease prevention & liaises with leading academics & scientists around the world on diet-based health & longevity.

Stuart Lewis

Stu Lewis, who lives in the Kansas City area, has been attending Limmud.UK since 2013 and has presented on a variety of topics, both Biblical and cultural. A retired civil servant, he tutors bar/bat mitzvah students at his congregation and writes programme notes for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

Miriam Libicki

Miriam is the creator of the Israeli Army graphic-novel memoir “jobnik!” and the book of drawn essays “Toward A Hot Jew” (recipient of the 2017 Vine Award for Canadian Jewish Literature). She lives in Vancouver and teaches illustration at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

Kevin Lieberman

Kevin is a Robotics PhD Candidate at the University of Michigan where he researches human-robot interaction in high risk environments. He is the past graduate student on the Hillel International Board of Directors, founder of the DC Design Workshop, and an ROI Community member.

Eliana Light

Through meaningful music, powerful prayer, excellent education, and creative consulting, Eliana works with Jewish communities worldwide to unlock the wonders of our sacred heritage.

Elements @ Festival Limmud

The Limmud Elements team supports Limmud communities worldwide, both individually and collectively. At Festival we will be creating a platform to engage in challenging issues, strategic thinking and relationship building to strengthen the global Limmud community.

Benji Lovitt

Since making aliyah in 2006, comedian/educator Benji Lovitt has shared his hilarious and unique perspectives on Israel for audiences around the world and has been featured in publications such as USA Today, Time Magazine, the Atlantic, BBC Radio, the Times of Israel, and the Jerusalem Post.

Katie-Marie Lynch

Brum based media producer and filmmaker passionate about using the media to explore curiosities and different ways of thinking. Other projects have included an international documentary about home education in communities also around America, as well as the Netherlands, Australia and across the UK.
